Albums
The discography of American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and several compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.
Before the formation of Toto the band, members performed session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.
The third album of Toto, Turn Back, marked an abrupt departure from the progressive sound of their previous albums, and was criticised for its lack of hit singles. In 1985, the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen left, and the band held auditions to choose a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the album Fahrenheit in 1986.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to mark its 20th anniversary. The group went through old recordings and tapes to create the album. The album was well-received by fans and the band embarked upon the tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun The drummer Leland Sklar left the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set called Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.

The album, released on November 6, 2018, included three brand new tracks from the upcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun as well as a complete recording of four older tracks with Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also included an original cover of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" which the band opted to include after hearing the song on the radio.
